Celebrity Relationship Disasters
In pretty much
every celebrity breakup, there's a winner and a loser.
Celebrity breakups are always rather messy, thanks to them
being played out in public. Celebrity breakups are
the craziest of all, because it involves a
fly-by-night couple or a long time union. The only real
difference between celebrity breakups and our own is that ours
are not on the 8:00 news.
Celebrities create
trends in Hollywood and can afford to spend massive
dollars on jewelry. Celebrities are seen stacking bangles and
bracelets at every Hollywood event. Celebrities love
stacking bangles all over Hollywood's hot spots. In Hollywood,
the dating circle seems to be so small that most celebrities
share boyfriends and girlfriends and swap spit left and right.
When celebrities are pregnant, a lot of them let themselves go
for the first time in their public lives.
Hollywood relationships are
anything but stable, and there doesn't seem to be a formula for
making Hollywood love last. Marilyn Monroe was a sex
symbol whose relationships were also closely monitored,
and women cried every time Elvis Presley was rumored to be with
someone new. Celebrity relationships are so notoriously
fragile, oddsmakers take bets on their survival. Ah yes how we
obsess with celebrity relationships.
How instructive for the rest
of us celebrity breakups are. Speaking of show business, it was
the year of the celebrity breakup for the 8th year in a row.
Movie stars are more interesting than their movies, musicians
are more intriguing than their songs, and a celebrity breakup
is ten times better than any award winning scenes or music
scores. Can celebrities actually offer us relationship advice?
I think not...
