The Emotions of a Break Up
Breaking up
doesn't have to mean the end of the world. Breaking up is the
ending of a relationship with a partner. But don’t give up just
because breaking up is hard to do. Most people just dread
breaking up a relationship.
This leaves many people
staying in a relationship longer than necessary because they
cling to each little hope that it is not over and they will be
able to overcome any problems that have been created. We have
all cried over bad moments in our relationships but how do you
know when it really is over. While some people may be able to
still save their relationship from this dark place, others
would agree that signs like this are sure ways to tell it is
over. There is no reason why your life must be over just
because of a breakup. The death of a relationship can cause
intense pain, but there are ways to reduce this breakup pain.
"Being friends" may only be a devious strategy to continue the
relationshipon terms wholly advantageous to you but not your
partner.
Yes, breaking up is hard to
do. Because breaking up or divorcing puts you through the exact
same series of emotions as one goes through when experiencing
GRIEF. The first stage in breaking up grief is DENIAL (the

breaking up is BARGAINING (I promise to do this or that if only
you will come back to me. The fourth stage of breaking up grief
is DEPRESSION (I just don't give a shit anymore). The final
stage in breaking up grief is Acceptance (I am going to move on
and survive). After the breaking up of a relationship After any
long-term relationship it may be tough to find the inner
strength or desire to open your heart to love again.
