The Emotions of a Break Up

Breaking up doesn't have to mean the end of the world. Breaking up is the ending of a relationship with a partner. But don’t give up just because breaking up is hard to do. Most people just dread breaking up a relationship.

This leaves many people staying in a relationship longer than necessary because they cling to each little hope that it is not over and they will be able to overcome any problems that have been created. We have all cried over bad moments in our relationships but how do you know when it really is over. While some people may be able to still save their relationship from this dark place, others would agree that signs like this are sure ways to tell it is over. There is no reason why your life must be over just because of a breakup. The death of a relationship can cause intense pain, but there are ways to reduce this breakup pain. "Being friends" may only be a devious strategy to continue the relationshipon terms wholly advantageous to you but not your partner.

Yes, breaking up is hard to do. Because breaking up or divorcing puts you through the exact same series of emotions as one goes through when experiencing GRIEF. The first stage in breaking up grief is DENIAL (the can't be happening to me. The second stage in breaking up grief is ANGER (why is this happening to me. The third stage in breaking up is BARGAINING (I promise to do this or that if only you will come back to me. The fourth stage of breaking up grief is DEPRESSION (I just don't give a shit anymore). The final stage in breaking up grief is Acceptance (I am going to move on and survive). After the breaking up of a relationship After any long-term relationship it may be tough to find the inner strength or desire to open your heart to love again.
